More than 400 residents from across Baltimore have joined together to become United Not Blighted, uplifting the 20/20 Campaign for Fair Development as a solution for blight and disinvestment in our communities. 20/20 calls on our city to invest 20 million dollars annually to deconstruct vacants- providing 400 living wage jobs every year, and another 20 million to create permanently affordable housing- rehabbing 400 homes each year to create healthy & safe rental and home ownership opportunities. Your leadership and energy are having a major impact- Mayor Pugh has expressed support for the 20/20 campaign!
Last Saturday kicked off Rising Up Summer- a grassroots push make the 20/20 Campaign a true city priority- that means we want thousands of residents to let city council and the mayor know it is time to invest in permanently affordable housing, jobs and environmental sustainability. Join us Thursday, May 25th from 6 to 8 PM at 2640 Saint Paul Street to pick up your yard sign and petitions and prepare for organizing citywide. Rising Up Summer, here we come!
